All that glitters..

Hey again. This is going to be my last past for about 5 days,as I'm off to Edinburgh! I do have a 5.30am start tomorrow though, which isn't exactly brilliant..
Anyway, so inbetween packing and puzzling over the mysterious murder-scene like state of my cream carpet (turns out I'd cut my foot and not realised- great!)I've got just enough to time to put up some pictures. This is the third outfit from the arboretum shoot (see 'Let sleeping dresses walk' and 'Colourful Creations'.)
This gold shrug is my favourite item of the moment. It made it's way through several people's dressing up boxes before landing in mine when I was about 5 or 6. I recently rediscovered it hiding under some brightly coloured scarves and realised how much it needed a permanent place in my wardrobe. It'seven vintage Pret-a-porter, no I've looked at it closely! The jeans are from ebay, and they're not actually meant to be cropped (being 5"8 does have a few drawbacks.) The black top is from H&M, the ankle boots are thrifted Zara (I love the zip detail!) The battered gold pendant/ locket is from Rosie's vintage stall and the belt is an original seventies one that my paternal czech grandma gave me.
Thanks as ever to the lovely Flo for amazing photography!

Here I've also included some of my latest fashion design sketches. I've been working really hard on my drawing technique over the summer, looking at figures and fabric etc.. I'd really like to hear what you think about them!
Look forward to catching up when I get back. So for now, au revoir...

I love all of your vintage finds! I know how you feel with jeans that are too short I'm 5"10 and it's super hard finding LONG jeans without getting sizes too big. Your sketches are very nice I like them alot, I always sketch things I see in magazines that I want and can possibly sew. My favorite sketch has to be the one with the girl wearing socks and heels. I saw in ad like that in JCrew and loved the look.
Keep posting! Have fun on your 5 day travels!

I really like the drawings, especially the first one. You're good at drawing legs haha. I attempt to draw fashion design sketches but they're no way near as good as these :)
The place where you took the photos looks really cool as well.

Hey Roz, have a great time in Edinburgh (or rather, hope you did).
Love this look. These are the pieces I want for fall: a soft glittery jacket (can't believe you've had it since you're 5 or 6!) and black booties with heels & a zip (and it's Zara! better still).

I love your sketches, both your drawing style, and the ideas. The upper right green dress, I actually had made by a dressmaker 10 years ago, but without the cage-like shape over (sorry I don't know what it's called). It's brilliant, the way you've referenced the past but with a new spin. I'd have easily believed I was seeing established designers' sketches. Hooray for you! x

that is the most amazing of all of the sequined jackets/blazers/cardigans that i have ever seen. it manages to be so unique and daziling, but it doesnt give it that costume-y clown look, making it perfect for any day!
