She'll be wearing silk pyjamas...

Well, Roz is not quite wearing silk pyjamas.... yet. (She is still confined to what I'm sure she would describe as a deeply unflattering hospital gown). However, hopefully she'll be progressing back towards those pyjamas sometime soon.
The spinal fusion surgery seems to have gone well yesterday. She  spent 18 hours in intensive care but is now stable enough to have been moved and all the initial signs of post-operative recovery are good. If things continue well, she'll be in hospital until next Wednesday. Lots of small steps every day... right now she looks like a sleeping Pippi Longstocking with her hair in two braids to keep it out of the way and hospital compression stockings instead of stripy ones. She said to say a massive thank you for all the wonderful comments and words of support on her previous post. They really meant a lot to her. The next post will be when she is up to it herself. She has asked that any comments for this post are left for her to read first and then publish so please be aware that the comment number will probably stay at zero for a while. We are all wishing her good healing, strength and speedy recovery.
ps: these photos were actually taken by her dad one lazy sunday morning a couple of months ago.

Fingers crossed our favourite blogger returns soon. Roz : I was talking to some of the fashion team at Vogue (work experience) today about my favourite blogs and mentioned how much I loved yours. They loved the idea of you styling your own blog editorials. I've told them to take a look.

Get well soon. x x x

I actually thought for a moment he'd shot them today, until I saw that wonderful last shot on the couch: so Audrey Hepburn!

(Having seen the lobby to the hospital, tho, I wouldn't be surprised if these satin pj's were stand hospital issue. It's not what I'd expect architecturally..)

Please send my very best wishes. So relieved to hear it's gone well. I actually found out you had posted via Stephanie, in the States.. funny old world, we're all connected and all sending 'our' Roz all our good tidings. Hope all the family is holding up well, you're probably operating on little sleep, but a lot of love.

(just realised I forgot to sign in but guess you figured by the length of this comment, it's Jill ; )

Oh, God, Roz! I'm SO happy to know that your surgery has been a success! I've left only one comment in your previous post, but have been thinking about you A LOT. Hope you get my prayers, and well, if you're not a believer, my good vibes :). I'm not such a religious person myself, but strongly believe that good thoughts turn into positive energy, so hope you're getting all of it.

When you're fit enough to write, we'll keep chatting, all right?

All the best of luck! Think about pretty things if you're in pain. Listen to your favorite music, read books, relax your mind and focus on your recovery.

Hug!

Miki.

Roz - hurry up and get better so we can collaborate on that blogging art piece! And so I can be inspired by all of your stunning outfits.

With love xx

Just discovered your blog through Pearls post about the scissor mummies.
I discovered I had a curve in my spine back in year 7 through a routine check, my right thigh bone is 1cm shorter then my left so my back has curved to compensate the difference. Luckily after having 6month x-rays for several years there was only a small gradual increase so I don't need to have them any more unless the pain gets worse. Mine is more like an S instead of a straight l and I have only found one other person who has a similar problem. I am lucky enough so far not to need an operation but I hope your has gone well and you have a full recovery. I am now following you to see your progress and find out what you will post about in the near future. Best of luck x
